TFCX Foster Caregiver

  • Location: Northeast Ohio (Cuyahoga, Summit, Stark, Tuscarawas, Wayne, others)
  • Travel Involved: Transporting youth to needed appointments
  • Job Type: Foster care provider in your home
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Compensation: $56.00 per day, tax-free, each day child resides in your home

Description

This foster care program was developed for children who have severe emotional problems, severe behavioral problems, and exceptional needs. Foster caregivers provide a nurturing, therapeutic environment, participate in counseling with the child and provide transportation to all appointments and activities.

Qualifications

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, be married or have live-in co-parent. Candidates must attend pre-service training and be able to be licensed by the state of Ohio as foster caregivers. Experience with special needs populations (MRDD or mental health facilities or group homes, group home for adjudicated youth) is preferred. The foster child must have his/her own room, and the family should not have children younger than 12 years of age.

Full time Relief House Parent

Description

The Relief Parents provide for the primary supervision of the youth in The Mary Rosalie Home, The Mill Street Home; or The Smyth Avenue Home on a 24-hour basis when the House Parents or Community Parents are off duty. This is on the average of 21 days a month. This position includes being both a positive adult role model as well as providing quality adult supervision, leadership and nurturance for the youth in the home. Relief Parents will be responsible for the enforcement of Pathway rules and policies as well as the rules and policies of ODJFS pertaining to youth in group living during the days they are providing relief to the Family Home or Respite House Parents.

Qualifications

The successful applicant for this position should be at least 25 years of age, have at least a high school diploma or equivalency, have at least one year of full-time (or equivalent) experience in the direct provision of care for children and/or youth; married couple is preferred; prefer that both house parents possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record. Demonstrates sensitivity and consideration for the cultural differences among the children and families served by Pathway. The successful applicant must complete and pass all state and accrediting bodies' training requirements for childcare workers.

Description

This person works full-time as a therapist providing family centered assessments and treatment including individual and group therapy for assigned children. Responsibilities include but not limited to assessment/service planning, therapeutic interventions, and collaboration with treatment/service team.

Qualifications

The successful applicant for this position should have a Masters Degree and appropriate licensure by the State of Ohio to provide Behavioral Health Counseling and Therapy services (LISW, LPCC, LSW or LPC preferred), at least six month's experience working with youth; a demonstrated ability to work well with many different types of people; possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, automotive liability insurance, and a car which is safely maintained. Demonstrates sensitivity and consideration for the cultural differences among the children and families served by Pathway.

Direct Care Mentor

Job Type/Shift: Full or Part Time
Compensation: $10.00 per hour

Description

The Direct Care Mentor may be called upon to carry a pager and /or cell phone to assist them in the completion of direct care to children and youth of the Pathway Network. DCM’s are expected to be available for various shifts and days of the week in order to complete the Direct Service Team Mission. Attends all staff meetings. Must have full coverage liability on car insurance.

Qualifications

The successful applicant for this position should be at least 21 years of age, have at least one year of college, have at least one year experience working with youth; possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record. A Direct Care Mentor must demonstrate sensitivity and consideration for the cultural differences among the children and families served by Pathway.

Description

This person works full-time as a therapist providing family centered assessments and treatment including individual and group therapy for assigned children. Responsibilities include but not limited to assessment/service planning, therapeutic interventions, and collaboration with treatment/service team. This therapist will carry a caseload that is currently primarily male based, but could evolve in the future.

Qualifications

The successful applicant for this position should have a Masters Degree and appropriate licensure by the State of Ohio to provide Behavioral Health Counseling and Therapy services (LISW, LPCC, LSW or LPC preferred), at least six month's experience working with youth; a demonstrated ability to work well with many different types of people; possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, automotive liability insurance, and a car which is safely maintained. Demonstrates sensitivity and consideration for the cultural differences among the children and families served by Pathway.
