School-Based Services

School-Based Therapy Services

Support their need to succeed.

Our school-based therapists and case managers are on site, in the schools every day. They are part of school meetings and schedules and can engage with students where and when they need it.

School-based therapy services for Stark County and the surrounding area are currently offered in Brown Local, Osnaburg Local, West Branch Local School Districts, Fairless School District, Beacon Academy, and Heritage Christian School.

We help your child become successful in school, at home, and in the community. By bridging the academic and mental health worlds, we provide support and encouragement and address challenges as they arise during the school day. These include:

  • Anxiety/mood issues
  • Attention issues
  • Behavioral problems
  • Depression
  • Divorce/family issues
  • Low self-esteem
  • Past trauma
  • Social/peer relationships

Pathway school-based therapists and case managers provide support and encouragement by:

  • Attending IEP meetings
  • Planning for behavioral success with principals, guidance counselors, and teachers
  • Tending to situations as they occur during the school day
  • Offering safe environments to de-stress, process and plan, and build social and emotional skills
  • Celebrating successes and addressing challenges
  • Motivating, inspiring, and embracing the uniqueness of all our clients

We work one-on-one, in a group setting, or both to best meet the individual needs of each child. Pathway has satellite offices so children and teens receive year-round support. Summer groups and experiences are offered during school breaks in order to provide a quality continuum of care.
