We at Pathway Caring for Children are advocates for all children in the constant pursuit of making them feel worthy and valued in hopes of changing any unfair or biased perceptions that have been projected on them. We are committed to ensuring that discrimination of any sort does not exist in our service delivery. This is a long-term commitment; one that requires each of us to take personal responsibility to humble ourselves in addressing the causes of injustice. We continue to learn and increase our understanding, all while growing in efforts to promote diversity. We can’t do this without each of you!

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a matter of social justice and human rights. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other personal characteristics. DEI is about creating a society where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed and thrive, without facing discrimination, prejudice, or bias.

Research has shown that diverse and inclusive workplaces are more innovative, productive, and profitable. By embracing DEI, we can tap into the full potential of Pathway staff, and better serve our communities.

DEI is essential for building strong and resilient communities. When people from different backgrounds come together and learn from each other, we can create a culture of empathy, understanding, and cooperation. By valuing diversity, promoting equity, and fostering inclusion, communities can become more cohesive, connected, and resilient.

DEI is not just a buzzword or a trend, but a fundamental principle that underpins a just and equitable society. By caring about DEI, people can contribute to a better world, a better workplace, and a better life for themselves and others.

Pathway staff, foster parents, board members, and volunteers uphold our 7 values (Love, Recognize, Respect, Security, Success, Responsibility, Personal Involvement) to be advocates and agents for change. We stand next to children and families, regardless of the daily challenges being faced.

Thank you for sharing in our commitment to help all children and families realize the possibilities of their lives.
