Foster Parent Pre-Service

Power Weekend Training

Thursday, April 24- Sunday, April 27

Children who’ve experienced trauma need compassion, stability, and someone who believes in them. That someone could be YOU.

Join us for a Power-Packed Weekend of Pre-Service Training

Complete ALL foster parent pre-service training in just four days and take the first step toward changing a child’s story.

Training Schedule:
• Thursday, April 24: 6–9 PM (In-person, Canton Office)
• Friday, April 25: 6–9 PM (Zoom)
• Saturday, April 26: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (Zoom)
• Sunday, April 27: 12–6 PM (In-person, Canton Office)

What to Expect:
Pre-Service training is designed to give you the skills and tools needed to understand how trauma and instability impact children in foster care. You’ll explore how to meet their unique emotional, developmental, and behavioral needs with empathy and structure.

You’ll also learn the importance of working closely as a team—with social workers, schools, and counselors—to build the best possible outcomes for the children you welcome into your home.
Our experienced staff and trainers walk beside you every step of the way, guiding you through behavior management strategies, setting realistic expectations, and understanding the full foster parent licensure process.
